Picking a new series to watch on Netflix can be time-consuming. Not that we’re complaining, but the streaming network simply has so much to offer! With so many streaming services today, when it comes to variety, Netflix continues to be unmatched.

There are many amazing new movies coming to Netflix. In fact, this year Netflix has stepped up their movie game with a new movie coming every week. However, I continue to love Netflix shows over movies.

There’s just something about becoming obsessed with a new series. Two very highly anticipated returning shows this year are You season 3 and Lucifer season 5, part 2, the latter premieres this month, so you know it’s on our list below!

Which Netflix show is your favorite from April 2021? At the top of our list are Shadow and Bone and Dad, Stop Embarrassing Me! Oh, and we’ve got to also add The Circle season 2, you can never have enough reality TV drama.

What else does Netflix have to offer this month? Plenty! Read on to see our list of five shows to watch on Netflix in May.

Best Netflix shows

1. Selena: The Series

The Queen of Tejano Music, Selena Quintanilla, returns with season 2. The series has been featuring the singer grow from performing in small stages to becoming one of the biggest Latin artists of all time.

Selena: The Series season 1 premieres on May 4, 2021.

2. Jupiter’s Legacy

We can’t get enough superhero (and anti-hero) stories, and Netflix knows this! However, the same story can get old, but Jupiter’s Legacy has a rather interesting premise.

The series follows the world’s first generation of superheroes training their children to continue the legacy. This new generation, though, has a different idea, and a very unique point of view.

Jupiter’s Legacy premieres on May 7, 2021.

3. Who Killed Sara?

Who Killed Sara? is one of the most addicting shows on Netflix. The first season captivates you with mystery immediately. Season 2 will continue exploring the truth behind Sara’s death, focusing on what truly happened.

Watch Who Killed Sara? season 2 on May 19,  2021.

4. Master of None

The modern love story returns with season 3 as it continues to explore relationships, both the ups and downs. The season will focus on marriage, growth, fertility struggles, family, and growing apart from those you love.

Master of None season 3 arrives on Netflix on May 23, 2021.

5. Lucifer season 5, part 2

Does Lucifer even need an introduction? It’s one of the most popular shows on the streaming king. After a long break from hell (pun intended), Lucifer Morningstar returns to complete season 5 —  and he’s got a visitor. How will God’s presence on Earth shake things up?

Don’t missLucifer season 5, part 2 on May 28, 2021.
