Monster

We start the month of movies on Netflix with one that originally premiered at the Sundance Film Festival back in 2018. It is finally arriving for everyone to watch. It’s a powerful movie about an honor student who is charged with a felony murder and faces everything in his life crashing before his eyes.

All he’s ever wanted is to beat the odds, graduate school, and make a career in movies. However, he ends up facing life in prison if he’s convicted of murder. It’s more than just a legal drama. The movie is about fear, grief, and a loss of power.

Oxygen

What would you do if you woke up in a cyrogenic chamber without any idea how you got there? And what would you do if you realized you were running out of air? That’s something one woman needs to figure out in this American-French thriller.

The only way for this woman to get out is to remember. She needs to figure out how she got there, while figuring out her plan to escape. Can she do it in time?

Oxygen is available on Netflix on Wednesday, May 12.

The Woman in the Window

Love thrillers? Amy Adams stars in The Woman in the Window, and you’ll want to watch it, even if it is just for the actress.

Adams plays Dr. Anna Fox, an agoraphobic woman who witnesses something from her window. She’s been keeping track of the Russell family, which seems like a perfect family, but realizes that’s certainly not the case. The problem is will anyone believe someone who never leaves the house?

The Woman in the Window is on Netflix on Friday, May 14.

Army of the Dead

If you love Zack Snyder movies, then you’ll want to turn to the next on our list of the movies on Netflix. Army of the Dead is arriving this month, and it has a standout cast including Dave Bautista and Ella Purnell.

When Las Vegas faces a zombie outbreak, a group of mercenaries decides to use the time for the greatest heist in the world. Of course, they’ll need to fight off the living dead at the same time. It’s worth it for the bounty, right?

Home

There has to be something for the whole family, right? That’s what Home is all about.

Jim Parsons and Rihanna voice the two main characters. When aliens invade, they take all the humans and transport them to somewhere else on Earth. However, one young girl manages to avoid capture and goes on a mission to find her mom when she runs into one of the aliens.

The two end up on a journey together, where they learn much more about themselves, their planets, and what the aliens are actually running from.
