Netflix shows: Queen Sono

Crime dramas are all the rage these days, and any shows dealing with the treacherous world of espionage are sure-fire hits. There many options out there for both of the trending genres, and it would be highly ideal if there were a title out there that brought out the best of both worlds in a compelling manner.

Thankfully, Netflix has just the thing for those out there looking for such a double threat. The South African series Queen Sono has a magnificent Rotten Tomatoes score indicating one of the many reasons to add this show to one’s watch list.

Queen Sono follows a South African clandestine agent who takes down criminal operations while dealing with a conflict in her personal life. The performances, locations, visuals, and narrative are all top-notch. It debuted on Netflix on February 28, 2020, and was renewed for a second season a few months later.

But due to complications from the COVID-19 pandemic, the streaming network had to say goodbye to the series. It’s possible that if enough people continue to treat the series, it may be possible to reignite the demand for more episodes, which could help change the minds of the powers that be on their decision not move forward with additional season.
