Queen Sono follows a South African clandestine agent who takes down criminal operations while dealing with a conflict in her personal life. The performances, locations, visuals, and narrative are all top-notch. It debuted on Netflix on February 28, 2020, and was renewed for a second season a few months later.

But due to complications from the COVID-19 pandemic, the streaming network had to say goodbye to the series.
