Netflix is adding 15 new movies and shows this week

It’s Shadow and Bone week! It’s finally here! But besides that, this week also brings a bunch of new movies and shows. So whether you’re looking to watch season 1 of Shadow and Bone, a new Netflix Original film, or a new nature docuseries, Netflix has a little something for everyone this week.

Let’s start off with one of the most-anticipated new series of the year, Shadow and Bone. The series is based on the book series of the same name by Leigh Bardugo. The story follows a young mapmaker, Alina Starkov, who discovers a power within her that could change her world forever.

Based on what the creators and the author have said, the series will be combing the Shadow and Bone series and the Six of Crows series. It will be interesting to see how they accomplish that. Based on the trailer alone, it looks extraordinary! It hits Netflix on Friday, April 23.

More in the mood for a space film? Stowaway is coming to Netflix on Thursday, April 22. It stars Toni Collette, Anna Kendrick, Daniel Dae Kim, and Shamier Anderson and follows the story of a three-member crew on a spaceship going to Mars and the stowaway on board that may put everyone on board at risk.

This cast could not be better and the story sounds really intense.

Looking for a nature documentary? Life in Color with David Attenborough is hitting Netflix on Thursday, April 22. If you thought humans were the only beings that used color, you’d be wrong. This docu-series looks into the different ways animals use color to survive in the wild.
