Dad Stop Embarrassing Me

Netflix’s new sitcom Dad Stop Embarrassing Me, stars Jamie Foxx as Brian Dixon, a single father who reunites with his daughter Sasha (Kyla-Drew) after her mother dies.

Dixon runs his mother’s cosmetics company that he inherited upon her death. When he reunites with his daughter, it is a major transition for both of them.

This series reunites Foxx with this In Living Color co-star David Allen Grier and also stars Porsha Coleman, Jonathan Kite and Heather Hemmens.

The Circle the Social Media Competition

The Netflix series The Circle is a reality-based competition show. This series is a US show that is based on the original UK series of the same name.

Eight players are all trying to win the $100,000 prize in a social media type setting. The contestants do not know who their opponents are, and they are all trying to gain the best responses on The Circle, the social media platform of the show.

The second season was released on April 14.

The Baker and the Beauty

Although this series originally aired on ABC in April 2020 and wasn’t renewed for a second season, The Baker and The Beauty just hit Netflix this week and is already sitting on the Top 10 TV shows list.

This rom-com was originally an Israeli series that has been adapted for American TV. The setting was changed from Tel Aviv to Miami, where expert baker Daniel Garcia (Victor Rasuk) works in his family’s Cuban-American bakery, Rafael’s Bakery that has been located in Little Havana for 23 years. His parents, Rafael (Carlos Gómez) and Mari (Lisa Vidal) expect him to run the business after they retire. His brother Mateo (David Del Rio) has aspirations of being a DJ and his younger sister Natalie (Belissa Escobedo) who is still in high school hopes to attend Princeton.

Daniel meets supermodel and entrepreneur Noa Hamilton (Nathalie Kelley), which gives the series its title and his life changes.

It is a light and fun rom-com.

Bridgerton

Netflix recently announced that this series would be renewed for a second season and before that season could even start filming, Bridgerton was renewed for its third and fourth seasons.

This Regency romance is the first series to be based on mass-market paperback romance novels. It has taken Netflix by storm, and fans want more.

The books are each based on one of the Bridgerton offspring, and the series seems to be following the same vein. The first season follows Daphane, the eldest daughter of the family, and her quest to find a husband.

If romance and period dramas are your thing, you MUST check this one out.

Luis Miguel: The Series

Season two of Luis Miguel: The Series won’t hit Netflix until Sunday, April 18. This is three years after the premiere of the first season.

The Spanish-language American biographical series follows the story of Luis Miguel (Diego Boneta), a Mexican singer, and follows his rise to stardom. The first season focused on his family issues, fame, and protecting his private life. The new season will focus on everything he had to deal with as a famed musician.

Season 2 will release each Sunday starting April 18 and run for a total of eight episodes.
