Lucifer’s showrunner wants Lucifer Funko Pop figures as much as you do

While Funko started as a small company, they’ve quickly become one of the largest pop culture merchandise distributors in the game. The company has released Pop! figures inspired by the likeness of some of our favorite fictional characters including many from our favorite Netflix series. However, there has been one glaring omission from the Funko Pop! collection: Lucifer Funko figures!

Given how popular the series is, it’s actually quite surprising that Funko hasn’t yet released a collection of Pop! figures inspired by the show’s characters when you think about it. I mean we’ve gotten Pop! figures for titles such as Bright and The Dark Crystal, yet there have been none for one of the most popular Netflix Originals yet?

Fans have been awaiting the release of Lucifer Funko Pop! figures and it seems co-showrunner Joe Henderson is just as eager for his Lucifer Funko!

In a recent live Q&A-style event, co-showrunner Henderson caught up with Word Balloon Podcast host John Siuntres Henderson made it clear to fans that he too wants his Funko Pop telling fans “I want my Funko Pop!” when discussing the hope for merchandise inspired by the show.

Honestly, we couldn’t agree more as it seems like a no-brainer to release a Lucifer Funko figure line which we’re sure fans would quickly preorder the collection.

Are there Lucifer Funko figures?

Unfortunately, at the moment there are not any Lucifer Funko figures; however, we’re optimistic that could change in the future.

Why aren’t there Lucifer Funko figures?

Given that Funko has a history of working with both Netflix as well as Warner Bros. it’s unclear why exactly there have not been Lucifer Funko Pop! figures just yet. If we had to guess, it’s likely a result of licensing restrictions as the series is based on a comic book which could perhaps complicate things.

When will Funko make Lucifer Funko Pop! figures?

At this time, there’s no timeline for when Lucifer Funko figures could hit shelves; however, there is hope for fans. Funko has a long-standing history of working with Warner Bros. and Netflix releasing collections meaning it is very likely we could see Funko Pop! figures inspired by the series hit shelves sometime in the future.

We’ve already received Funko figures inspired by Stranger Things, The Umbrella Academy, Daredevil, Glow, and The Queen’s Gambit so it seems like only a matter of time before Lucifer finally gets its own Funko figure line.

When Funko finally decides to launch a figure line inspired by our favorite Netflix series, we can only hope the collection will include all of our favorite characters including Lucifer, Chloe, Dan, Amenadiel, Maze, Linda, Ella, and Trixie!
