Is Beastars on Netflix?

Have you finished Hunter x Hunter and you’re looking for a new anime to binge? Have you been hearing about the Netflix original Beastars, and you’re interested in trying it out, but you’re not sure what it’s about? Then, you’ve come to the right place.

For those looking for a new anime to watch, Beastars is the tale of Legoshi, a gray wolf whose personality is more timid than fierce. Focused on school, he’s really only trying to make it through his day but things change when one of his classmates is brutally murdered.

His name is Tem, and he’s an Alpaca. It’s already tense between the herbivores and carnivores on campus, and in society, and Tem’s murder only makes tensions worse. Not to mention, Legoshi’s unexpected feelings for Haru, a rabbit at his school, doesn’t lighten his load either.

Determined to protect her and get stronger without giving into his carnivore cravings, Legoshi has to deal with more on his plate than he ever expected on top of a murder mystery afoot. What’s a quiet and yet large wolf to do?

Where to watch Beastars

The first season of Beastars is available to stream now on Netflix, and you’ll also be glad to find out that a new season is on the way.

Season 2 of the series is set to premiere on the platform in July, so you won’t be waiting too long for the next installment of Legoshi’s story.

We’re not sure how many seasons are in the works for Beastars, but the series has been a hit on the streamer since its release in 2020.

The show is based on the manga series of the same name by Paru Itagaki that ran from 2016-2020. In total there are 22 volumes to the manga series, so we suspect there’s enough material for subsequent seasons beyond the second.
