There are so many great foreign films available on Netflix and I’m here to tell you about one of them. Directed by Julien Leclercq, Sentinelle is a French action thriller starring Olga Kurylenko, Marilyn Lima, and Michel Nabokoff.

Olga Kurylenko plays Klara, a skilled French soldier who is sent home after experiencing trauma. After a night out with her sister, Klara is distraught to wake the next day to find that her sister has been assaulted. Klara begins to conduct her own investigation to find out what happened and will stop at nothing to avenge her sister.

According to IMDb, the film premiered just a few days ago on March 5, 2021. It has a run time of 80 minutes. Sentinelle was filmed in various locations throughout Europe, including Brussels, Belgium, Nice, France, and Casablanca, Morocco. The film is in French with English subtitles. If you’re a quasi-French speaker like me, then Sentinelle is a great film to watch if you’d like to brush up on your skills.

The movie also features the talents of Martin Swabey, Carole Weyers, Andrey Gorlenko, Gabriel Almaer, Blaise Afonso, Guillaume Duhesme, Michel Biel, Mustapha Makhada, Erico Salamone, Olivier Massart, Doriane Pasquale, and Alain Eloy.

The film is currently #3 on the streaming platform’s top 10 most-watched list. For a closer look at Sentinelle, you can check out the trailer below. The film is rated TV-MA. It includes instances of violence, so I think it’s safe to assume that children are not the film’s target audience.

You can watch Sentinelle on Netflix now.
