Whether you want rom-coms or a documentary, there is something for all on Netflix in March 2021. These are 5 must-watch Netflix movies this month.

Yes, March is here. I’m not personally sure how to feel about that despite it being my birthday month, but it’s here nonetheless.

While it is a quieter than normal month on Netflix, it didn’t make creating this list all that easy. After all, there are some excellent third-party movies dropping today. There are also some excellent Netflix Original Movies coming throughout the month.

Getting a little overwhelmed by all the choices? I’m here with the five must-watch Netflix movies during March 2021. I’ve tried to pick something for everyone.

5 good Netflix movies during March 2021

Moxie

The first of the Netflix movies joining the streamer is Moxie. Directed and starring Amy Poehler, the movie is based on the book of the same name by Jennifer Mathieu.

It’s sure to anger a few as you think back to your time at high school. At the same time, it’s sure to empower a few women as some of the sexism of the past still remains.

When a shy teenager is fed up with the sexism at school and is empowered by a new student, she decides to create an anonymous zine. Of course, the teen girls love it and the boys and some teachers are concerned about its popularity.

Moxie is on Netflix on March 3.

Bombay Rose

For those looking for something to watch with younger children, you’ll want to turn your attention to Bombay Rose. The animated movie is about a Hindu girl who is set to marry a man of her parents’ choosing. Arranged marriages are common, even today.

However, this young girl falls in love with a Muslim boy. It’s a story you’ve probably heard before, but that doesn’t stop this movie from being a must-watch.

The animation alone is something to watch for. It’s vibrant and enticing. Just watch the trailer below:

Watch the movie on March 8.

Coven of Sisters

There are plenty of movies about witches and inquisitors out there, but Coven of Sisters is a little different. For one, it’s not set in Salem in 1692!

Instead, the movie is set in Basque Country in 1609. It follows a group of women who have all been accused of witches. In an attempt to prevent their execution, they lure their inquisitor into witnessing the witches’ Sabbath.

One thing is for sure: you won’t be able to get the song out of your head.

Check out Coven of Sisters on March 11.

Yes Day

Need something a little fun? There are a few Netflix movies arriving, but one of the must-watch options is going to be Jennifer Garner’s Yes Day.

The movie follows a family of five, where the three children have only ever heard “No” from their parents. In an attempt to prove that they were once fun, the parents agree to “Yes Day.” They’re not allowed to say no to anything, no matter how crazy the request is.

Of course, it starts off quiet and simple. Things are about to get wild.

Check out Yes Day on March 12.

Operation Varsity Blues: The College Admissions Scandal

Finally, it’s all about the documentary Operation Varsity Blues: The College Admissions Scandal. Everyone heard about the College Admissions Scandal and the people involved. There was no way of not hearing about it.

But just how much do you understand about it? Who exactly was involved in it and how? Those are questions the new Netflix documentary will look at, including the man behind it all.

This is more than just about how a couple of celebrities were caught. It’s about the entire FBI investigation into the practice that has been going on for decades.

Operation Varsity Blues is coming to Netflix on March 17.
