War Dogs is coming to Netflix tonight

The 2016 dark comedy crime flick War Dogs based on true events is coming to Netflix tonight for subscribers to enjoy. The film coming to the streaming service stars Jonah Hill, Ana de Armas, Miles Tellers and is helmed by Joker director Todd Phillips.

If people are looking for an impressive library of content consisting of movies based on true events, Netflix certainly ranks very high as the go-to for such things. The streaming powerhouse is packed to the brim with real-life ordeals adapted into cinema including, The Trial of the Chicago 7, The Social Network, The Theory of Everything, and starting tonight will be the Golden Globe-nominated motion picture War Dogs will be added to the list of top-tier titles available.

The intriguing affair follows two arms dealers named Efraim Diveroli, played by Hill, and David Packuoz, played by Teller. In what has been referred to as loosely based on the true story, the feature’s narrative focuses on the $300 million dollar contract the ambitious duo receive from the Pentagon to arm allies of America in Afghanistan.

Hill’s performance received a lot of praise when the film was released, and its box office return was more than double its budget. A Star is Born’s Bradley Cooper, who also serves as the producer, is also in the film playing a gangster-esque character, proving that he should definitely do that kind of role in a much larger capacity. It also features No Time to Die’s Ana de Armas before breaking out in such hits like Blade Runner 2049 and Knives Out.

What time is War Dogs on Netflix?

War Dogs also features some exceptional music from Cliff Martinez who other superb work can be heard in such films as Contagion, Spring Breakers, and Game Night. From the performances to the story to the sounds, there are more than enough reasons to relive it all or check it out for the first time when it makes its way to Netflix.

War Dogs will be available on Netflix for subscribers to stream at 12:01 am PT on February 8, 2021.
