Kid Cosmic, the newest project from Craig McCracken, arrives tonight on Netflix, bringing some superheroic silliness and stunning designs.

If you were a kid of the late 90s-early 00s, then chances are you’ve seen the Powerpuff Girls. Fighting crime, trying to the save the world, all before bedtime, the series put animator Craig McCracken centerstage. After the Powerpuff Girls ended, McCracken went on to create Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends and Wander Over Yonder. Now, he’s back with Kid Cosmic.

Based on the trailer for the Netflix original series, which you can view below, Kid Cosmic looks to be a thrilling and comedic series that has the signature heart of McCracken’s projects as this unlikely band of heroes forms their own sort of family while saving the world. Plus, a cat with psychic powers? It was only a matter of time before cats revealed their true selves to the world.

Kid Cosmic stars Jack Fish as Kid, Amanda C. Miller as Jo, Lily Rose Silver as Rosa, Keith Ferguson as Papa G, Tom Kenny as Chuck, and Fred Tatasciore as Tuna Sandwich.

He forms a team of local heroes to stop an onslaught of alien attacks to steal back the stones.
