A new week is here and with it the beginning of February. We made it through the first month of 2021. Yay us! But besides the start of a new month, this week also brings a bunch of new movies and shows to Netflix.

Whether you’re looking for a new movie, a new series or two, or want to rewatch a couple of old favorites, Netflix has a little something for everyone this week.

Looking for a romance movie filled with drama? Malcolm & Marie hits Netflix on Friday, Feb. 5. The film stars Zendaya and John David Washington and tells the story of Malcolm, a director, and Marie, his girlfriend, and how their relationship is tested as they return from a movie premiere and wait for the critics’ response. This looks messy, complicated, emotional, and like it’s about to get Oscars for both actors.

More in the mood to binge-watch a series? Season 1 of Firefly Lane is coming to Netflix on Wednesday, Feb. 3. This is based on series of novels by Kristin Hannah and stars Katherine Heigl, Sarah Chalke, Beau Garrett, Roan Curtis, Ben Lawson, Ali Skovbye, and Yael Yurman. The series follows the lives of best friends, Tully and Kate, from 1974 to the present. They go through every milestone together, from happy moments to tragic ones.

If you’re looking for a series that’s a little bit darker, you should definitely check out season 3 of The Sinner when it hits Netflix on Saturday, Feb. 6. The anthology series goes into serious crimes and how they’re committed by people you might not expect. Season 3 stars Matt Bomer, Chris Messina, Parisa Fitz-Henley, Eddie Matinez, Jessica Hecht, and Bill Pullman who is the detective in every season. This season a car accident occurs and kills the driver, but was it really an accident?

Leonardo DiCaprio movies coming to Netflix this week

A couple of Leonardo DiCaprio movies are also coming to Netflix this week. Both Inception and Shutter Island will be on the streaming service on Monday, Feb. 1. Inception is Christopher Noland’s film about dreams within dreams and Shutter Island is Martin Scorcese’s movie about a sinister island holding a hospital for the criminally insane. A U.S. Marshal is sent to the island after a murderer escapes.
