Charming 2 hasn’t been confirmed yet. While that doesn’t mean it won’t happen, it’s highly unlikely that there will be a sequel.

It’s a fairy tale story. Most fairy tales don’t need a sequel. Nobody needs to know about the story after the Happily Ever After. It’s not a fairy tale if that happens. Of course, there have been sequels, but they tend to be forgotten about.

On top of that, the first movie has flopped. It was initially released in mainland Europe in 2018 and then came to the UK in 2019. It’s only now come to the U.S. through Netflix, despite having a U.S.-based cast. Not only has it been a financial loss, but the ratings aren’t that great about it.

But your kids loved it, right? They want to see more from Lenny and Charming. And they’re the ones who count right now.

When could Charming 2 come to Netflix?

With that in mind, we need to assess a potential release date. It will take some time.

The movie was originally created back in 2015 and wasn’t released until 2018. Animated movies can take a lot of time to create, so that’s not all too surprising. However, it took another two years for Netflix to pick it up for the States.

If the sequel is picked up, we could look at a similar process. Say work started on it in 2021, we’d be looking at 2024 for the release if the first movie is anything to judge. There is already the ground work for the characters, so maybe a little less time.

However, if the movie does happen, it’s not coming to Netflix anytime soon. You’ll want to find other fairy tales for the kids.
