Prince Phillipe Charming went on a journey to find true love. Like every fairy tale, he found it, but would that mean the woman he fell in love with returned the feelings?

It’s time to break down the ending to Charming on Netflix. How did it all end?

Charming finds true love

Along the journey, the prince finds his true love. It’s the woman he has been on the journey with, Lenny. However, Lenny is more interested in gold, and she decides to take that instead of admitting her love for the prince.

Realizing that he wasn’t going to break the curse, Phillipe decided to bring an end to it himself. He would sacrifice himself for the sake of his land, which certainly made his father proud. He even wrote letters to all the women who had fallen in love with him telling them to move on and find their own true love.

It’s the letters that saved him. Lenny’s bird stole one of the letters and took it to Lenny. She had a chance to realize that Phillipe was her true love, too.

She saved him from hanging just in time, but Nemeny wasn’t going to let the curse end that easily.

Nemeny prevents true love’s kiss

Nemeny turns up just before Lenny and Phillipe can kiss. She makes it impossible for them to see each other, but there is still a connection between them. Just as Nemeny tries to kill Lenny, Phillipe steps in front and takes the blow.

That’s when true love’s kiss can happen.

Their true love’s kiss breaks the curse entirely with Nemeny’s death. All women are able to love people other than Phillipe, while Lenny’s curse to never love at all is broken. She fought through it to care for Phillipe and now she’s able to fully love Phillipe.

She proposes to him on the block in front of everyone, including Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, and Snow White.

Is that the happily ever after? Pretty much. We learn Lenny is pregnant shortly after their wedding.

It’s your pretty standard fairy tale that kids will enjoy.

The only question I have now is how Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, and Snow White will marry. Wasn’t Prince Charming their guy from all the fairy tales? Could this open up storylines for Charming 2?
