Is Chilling Adventures of Sabrina canceled?

Netflix has canceled Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

We have officially come to the end of another excellent TV series. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has been canceled.

The news came ahead of the release of the fourth part. Netflix had decided to bring the show to an end, and I’m not exactly happy about that.

It later turned out that the decision may have been pandemic related. The show had plans for part 5, including the highly-hoped for Riverdale crossover.

Could another network save Chilling Adventures of Sabrina?

Of course, there is always the hope that someone else could save the series, right? That’s unlikely to happen. There hasn’t been much of a move by Warner Bros. to save the series, despite WarnerMedia having its own streaming platform in the form of HBO Max.

This could be because of contractual agreements with Netflix. It’s not so easy for a streaming show to be saved by another streaming platform or a network. The shows can’t be available on a streaming platform for a set amount of years, usually at least two.

It means a long time to wait between seasons. While some fans would be happy for that wait, not all would be. Plus, it’s not always possible to keep actors on the books for that long. Contract options run out, allowing the actors and the crew to work on other projects.

What to expect on Chilling Adventures of Sabrina part 4

The final part sees Sabrina and her friends and family take on the Eldritch Terrors. Well, I say “Sabrina,” but I really mean “Sabrinas.”

There are still two Sabrinas in this universe, which is a hell of a lot of fun to watch. With them, the coven, and the Fright Club, there’s no doubt that the Eldritch Terrors have their work cut out for them if they want to succeed.

The Terrors are world-destroying beings, though. They’re not exactly going to go down without a fight. Can the Witches of Greendale stand up against them? Will Blackwood get in the way? There’s not too long to find out, and hopefully, the season will be wrapped well enough to bring the series to a complete end.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina part 4 is available on Netflix on Dec. 31.
