Netflix adding 60 new movies and shows this week
Now that the holidays are over, you might be looking for something to watch in the final days of 2020 or during the first few days of the new year. Luckily, Netflix has you covered with a ton of new movies and shows coming this week.
Whether you’re looking for the final season of a witchy Netflix show, a new season of a popular show based on a hit franchise, or a series to help you center yourself in 2021, the streaming service has something for everyone.
The new season of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina hits Netflix on Thursday, Dec. 31. This is the fourth and final season of the witchy show and begins with the Eldritch Terrors coming to Greendale to make all kinds of trouble. The coven must fight each Terror off or it will lead to the “End of All Things.” As the witches fight to save the world, Harvey might just be winning his way back into Sabrina’s heart. *heart eyes*

Looking for something to watch on New Year’s Day? Season 3 of Cobra Kai arrives early on Friday, Jan. 1. The series is a continuation of The Karate Kid films and follows Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence as they once again find themselves rivals in martial arts. But, as it’s decades later, their lives are quite a bit different from what they were as kids.
We also know that this new season will take place partly in Okinawa. And with season 2 ending with Miguel in the hospital and Johnny kicked out of his own dojo, those storylines are likely to be explored in the new season as well.

After 2020, I think we all need plenty of therapy and meditation. Netflix is providing one of those with its new series, Headspace Guide to Meditation. The series hits the streaming service on Friday, Jan. 1, and comes from Headspace, the meditation and sleep app lots of people use on their phones to help them sleep better and practice guided meditation. The series, narrated by Andy Puddicombe, the founder of Headspace, explores the science of meditation as well as the many benefits of practicing it.

Still hungry after all that food from the holidays? Then you should definitely check out Julie and Julia when it comes to Netflix on Friday, Jan. 1. It has an all-star cast of Meryl Streep, Amy Adams, Stanley Tucci, and Chris Messina.
