Best Netflix dramas of 2020: 4. The Devil All the Time

This movie had many audiences and critics torn. More than anything, The Devil All the Time was criticized for being “too dark.” It’s true that audiences may not be used to actor Tom Holland taking on such a depressing role, but the majority saw it as Holland stretching his acting chops and proving just what a talented young star he truly is.

In the movie, Holland portrays Arvin Russell, a young man who takes it upon himself to get revenge after his family ends up in the middle of a corrupted and evil town. The Devil All the Time premiered on Netflix on Sept. 16, 2020.

Best Netflix dramas of 2020:  3. Da 5 Bloods

Da 5 Bloods divided fans. While it’s a winner with critics, fans weren’t sure what to think. If there’s anything to take away from it, though, is the incredible talent attached to this movie. It stars Delroy Lindo, Jonathan Majors, Clarke Peters, Chadwick Boseman (one of his finale projects), and others.

The movie follows four African American vets who return to Vietnam for the remains of a fellow squad member.

Da 5 Bloods seems like an Oscar favorite heading into award season.
