Kiernan Shipka and Gavin Leatherwood teased what’s to come on Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Part 4

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Part 4 will be here before you know it. What can we expect in the final part? We have a little tease.

Kiernan Shipka and Gavin Leatherwood talked to the press during a virtual press junket to tease what’s to come and share what they’ll miss the most about the series. Shipka also shared what could have been had the Riverdale crossover happened.

Bravery and levity

The two talked a little about what they wanted to bring to their characters for the final part. For Shipka, it was all about showing the bravery Sabrina Spellman now has. It’s at an all-time high, and as an actress, Shipka needed to sell that.

As for Leatherwood, he touched on the trauma and pain Nick has been through so far. He needed to bring a bit of levity to the character. “I think we get to see a bit of it,” he shared.

Sabrina is Nick’s guiding light. He wouldn’t be what he is without her. Will it be about them in the end?

However, he also had to make sure he brought truth and empathy to the character. Preparing for Nick wasn’t all too easy, and he needed to find a way to balance the trauma of the character and stay free as an actor. The most important thing to him was to leave anything personal off the set. He needed to be free when it came to acting, because something actors are going through will show on the screen otherwise.

Two Sabrinas on Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

Something that has come in previous parts and will happen in the last part is two Sabrinas on the screen. We have Sabrina Spellman and Sabrina Morningstar. While both look alike, they are very different from one another, and not just in lifestyles and personalities.

Shipka explained that she made sure her cadence in her voice was different between the characters. While she kept some of Sabrina Spellman’s personality traits in Sabrina Morningstar, she exaggerated some of them. Morningstar is more flirtatious, and you can tell from the body language which character is which.

She did have fun tackling the split and playing opposite herself. It’s something she’ll cherish from the series.

In the end, they both had praise for the show’s creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. This series wouldn’t be what it is without his love for classic horror movies. There are plenty of homages throughout the series, and there are more to come in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Part 4.
