Counting down the days we have left until The Office sadly leaves Netflix? Us too. The always-popular workplace sitcom has called the streaming service its home for the past several years, but in 2021 we’ll have to stream our favorite Dunder Mifflin memories via NBCUniversal’s platform, Peacock.

Peacock took the time today to send out an announcement one-sheet, which is styled as an email from once-CEO David Wallace. In the fake letter, it’s explained that all seasons of the NBC series will be available to stream on the platform starting January 1, 2021. Never-before-seen footage will also be included later in the year, branded as “The Office: Superfan Episodes.”

On top of that fun news, we’ve also learned that The Office now will have its own TikTok and GIPHY accounts, so fans can celebrate the beloved show even more from different sources.

While the series leaving Netflix is extremely unfortunate, at least Peacock is really going all in with the release. And on top of that, it looks like fans won’t have to pay to watch some of the show once it makes the streaming service switch.

According to David Wallace’s email, seasons 1 and 2 will be available to stream for free. If you want to watch the rest of the show, you can pay for a subscription for Peacock, which will cost you $4.99 a month with commercials or $9.99 a month without commercials.

You can check out a screenshot of the announcement and all the information released below.

Considering Netflix just increased its prices, it goes without saying that fans aren’t excited to have to pay another fee just to watch The Office. Our advice? Perhaps just buy the DVD box set, so that way you’ll only have to pay once and you’ll own the entire series forever. On Amazon, you can get it for around $60. Buy it here.

We’ll remember the days of watching The Office on Netflix with no worries fondly!
