It’s almost been a full year since The Magicians season 5 premiered on Syfy. Can you believe it? The good news is you can relive it very soon.

All 13 episodes will drop on Netflix on Friday, Jan. 15, 2021. Netflix announced the news through a Twitter announcement, making it clear that it’s only in the United States.

Amazon Prime Video has the rights in a number of countries, including Canada and the UK. However, streaming rights change. Keep an eye out on your own Netflix locations to see if the show is coming to you.

The release is a little later than we’re used to. Usually, The Magicians drops in December, giving fans enough time to binge-watch all the episodes again in time for the new seasons to premiere on Syfy. It’s working slightly differently this year because there is no sixth season. Season 5 is the final season, and the Netflix drop is around the time of year that a new season would usually premiere.

What is The Magicians season 5 about?

The fifth season picks up with the group dealing with the loss of Quentin, which happened at the end of the season 4 finale.
