10. The Christmas Chronicles (2018)

Kurt Russell has played some very interesting characters in his illustrious career. From the classic roles like MacReady in The Thing to Snake Plisskin in Escape From New York to the more recent affairs like Mr. Nobody in the Fast and Furious movies and John Ruth in Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight, it would seem there weren’t any characters left to play. But that would be incorrect as the infamous actor has become the big man of Christmas in the Netflix original yuletide flick The Christmas Chronicles. The family-friendly Christmas comedy was created by the same people that brought audiences movies like Home Alone, which is a Christmas classic, and three of the incredibly popular Harry Potter films.

The Christmas Chronicles serves up a serious dose of yuletide hijinks and fun with a unique plot that fans of the genre and Netflix subscribers will find extremely entreating. The adventurous story follows a brother and a sister that sneak onto Santa’s sleigh. After the magical vessel accidentally crashes, they are forced to pull an all-nighter and go on an unexpected journey to help Santa save Christmas. The exceptional, feel-good film has some heartfelt moments and dozens of hilarious holiday shenanigans that would make an ideal choice to watch this season with the entire family.
