2. Peppermint (2018)

Jennifer Garner is no stranger to the world of action in movies and television. The star of the genre kicked her career into the stratosphere after wowing home audiences week after week on J.J. Abraham’s spy thriller series Alias as a superior secret agent with next-level skills. She also has significant comic book credibility after playing Elektra in a pair of movies, solidifying her status as a power player in the world of pulse-pounding endeavors making her vigilante thriller Peppermint a perfect follow-up after watching Ava on Netflix.

The film has topped the chart since its arrival on the streaming service, and it’s understandable given its exciting premise and outstanding action. Garner plays a mother devasted by the tragic loss of her family and spends five years becoming a formidable threat for those that caused this senseless violence in order to exact her revenge on those that took her daughter and husband. Peppermint is a worthwhile watch and the perfect thing to watch after Ava on Netflix.
