Prepare for some action thrills, Ava is coming to Netflix tonight

A new action thriller is headed to Netflix tonight, will you be watching Ava, starring Jessica Chastain? Here’s what the movie is all about.

If you have had enough of romantic comedies and holiday movies, watch Ava, an action thriller that is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat. The movie premieres tonight, Dec. 7.

Ava had a limited release earlier this fall in select theaters on Sept. 25, but it makes its SVOD premiere and Netflix was quick to snag streaming rights. Chastain isn’t the only name you recognize from the cast. The movie also stars John Malkovich, Geena Davis, Colin Farrell, and others.

At Rotten TomatoesAva is not receiving the best reviews. In fact, they are pretty awful, sitting right at 19% at the time of this writing. Is the R-rated action movie that bad? We’ll have to each make up our mind about it!

What is Ava about?

The movie follows an elite assassin, Ava (Jessica Chastain) who is now the target of her black ops organization after she breaks protocol, questioning authority. Now, mark for death, it’s not only Ava who is in danger but those she loves most, too.

Depending on your location, the action flick drops on Netflix tonight, beginning at 12:01 a.m. PT or 3 a.m. ET. What time will it premiere for you?

Will you be staying up late to catch the movie or watch it later on in the week? Based on the review so far, I can see most audiences not rushing to watch and waiting for more reviews to release, instead. The movie is just over one hour and 30 minutes, though, so you don’t have much to lose if you do decide to watch.

Either way, there’s plenty streaming on Netflix this weekend, such as Selena: The SeriesMank, and Detention.
