Bob’s Broken Sleigh is full of heart and holiday cheer, and there is no denying the special available on Netflix is a beautiful 46-minute children and family movie to experience this season. The exciting feel-good Canadian holiday saga is well crafted, featuring some exceptional animation with an inspiring, easy-to-absorb, and extremely entertaining Christmas story that will have viewers of all ages cheering on its eager elf protagonist as he quickly becomes a Noel fan favorite.
While many Christmas stories focus on Santa Clause or the reindeer, Bob’s Broken Sleigh focuses on one of the jolly old man’s crucial workforce, specifically a creative young elf with big aspirations named Bob. He is always looking to help, even though he doesn’t possess any magic. But what he lacks in fantastical abilities, Bob makes up for with his mind. He creates a homemade “Floatinator” device to improve Santa’s sleigh and prove his worth when the entire ordeal does not go as planned. After crashing in the middle of a strange magical forest, the poor stranded elf is ambushed by the evil puffin known as Fishface. Luckily Bob isn’t alone for too long and embarks on a race against time with his newfound friends to repair Santa Claus’s sleigh as well as get back to the North Pole in time for Christmas.
