Mank and Citizen Kane are the perfect double feature

David Fincher’s Netflix original movie Mank tells the unbelievable behind-the-scenes story of the creation of Citizen Kane, considered to be one of the greatest American films ever made. It even came in second place in a widely circulated 2012 critics’ poll of the greatest movies of all time by Sight & Sound.

Citizen Kane is about the tumultuous life and times of Charles Foster Kane (Orson Welles), a ruthless newspaper tycoon in the vein of yellow journalism pioneer William Randolph Hearst. Kane’s journey to the top is complicated by failed relationships, broken alliances and the corruption of his very soul.

If you’ve just finished Mank and have never seen this classic movie before, you can watch it right now and see what all the hype is about.
