In Holiday in the Wild, Davis’s character Kate surprises her husband with a surprise second honeymoon to Zambia for them to take now that their son is off to college. Unfortunately, Kate’s husband reveals he is no longer in love with her and has been waiting for this day to call things off. Despite the loss, Kate goes anyway and ends up rescuing an orphaned baby elephant and growing an emotional bond with the animal while it heals at a sanctuary. There she also celebrates the holidays and may have just found a new love interest that could forever change her life. The film available on Netflix is a brilliant feel-good story that offers up something much different than other films within the genre.
