Virgin River season 2 ending explained and what’s next in Virgin River season 3
By Bryce Olin
Will Mel and Jack finally be together in Virgin River season 3?
Yes! I think so. Obviously, we need Jack to pull through for that to happen, but as mentioned, I think we’re all expecting Mel and Jack to be in a committed relationship when the new season premieres.
Mel is a rock in Jack’s life, and he’s a rock in her life. They both need each other, and it’s only natural for the show, after pulling a terrific will they/won’t they story for two seasons, to bring these characters together for good.
Things will still be a little bit rocky for Mel and Jack, especially with Jack becoming a new father and all that in season 3. Charmaine is very clearly not happy with Mel and Jack’s relationship, but she’ll just have to get over it, honestly.
I think we will see a Mel-Jack wedding in the new season, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Mel and Jack try to have a baby of their own. That might come a little bit further down the line, but I don’t think so. Season 3 is going to be a big season, and that’s another storyline that fans can watch for in the new season.
I’m expecting Mel to eventually take over for Doc Mullins at the practice, as well. I think there’s definitely a storyline there that will be explored in the new season, especially with Doc getting a little older and getting back together with Hope.
