Is Jack alive in Virgin River season 3?

Virgin River season 2 ended in a rough place for Mel and Jack. Minutes after the couple officially got back together, Mel found Jack lying on the ground at the bar. He was losing a lot of blood from a gunshot wound in his abdomen.

I don’t know about you, but I’m very, very confident that Jack will live. There’s no way they would torture Mel in that way. She’s already endured so much trauma. We can’t allow her to lose another loved one in such an awful way.

I think we all expect Jack to survive, but what happens next?

We’re all assuming that Jack was shot by one of Calvin’s guys, but I’m wondering if that was a stretch. You’d think they would have actually killed him if it was one of Calvin’s guys. If it wasn’t them, I don’t know who it could have been.

Season 3 is going to be big for Jack. I’m expecting that we’ll get to see Jack’s kids born sometime in the next season, and I’m also expecting a romantic relationship with Mel in season 3. Those two things should pack enough drama into the season for Jack.

A new house, new kids, a new lease on life, and what’s left? A new wife, of course. Yes, I think that there could be a Mel-Jack wedding in season 3. More on that in a second!
