4. Love, Guaranteed

One thing’s for sure: Virgin River offers an old-fashioned, feel-good binge-watch, which is the exact type of feeling everyone wants from a romantic comedy. Even when the storylines take a turn for the dark and distressing, the overall mood is buoyant and full of levity. Netflix’s original rom-com Love, Guaranteed directly relates to the comedy-drama series in tone and feel-good likability.

Rachael Leigh Cook stars as Susan Whitaker, a lawyer hoping to save her small firm from going under by taking a big-ticket case. Nick Evans (Damon Wayans Jr.) seeks to sue a dating site that guarantees its clients will fall in love. Clearly, his time on the dating site didn’t guarantee love. However, as he and Susan work closely on the case unexpected spark fly, allowing both parties to walk away from the lawsuit with a win regardless.

3. Falling Inn Love

Something truly inescapable about Virgin River is its endearing essence of Hallmark Channel-esque warmth. Being so, it’s only fitting that fans hop over to the Netflix original romantic comedy Falling Inn Love after feverishly binge-watching season 2. Whether it’s your first viewing, second viewing or millionth viewing (no judgments here), there’s always room for an unabashedly fun and unchallenging rom-com to set the soul at ease.

Christina Milian stars in Falling Inn Love as Gabriela Diaz, a San Francisco designer who finds herself out of a job and out of a relationship in one fell swoop. In her post-bad day daze, Gabriela enters a “Win an Inn” contest in the New Zealand countryside. Suddenly, she finds herself overseas as the owner of a crumbling inn. She hires contractor Jake Taylor (Adam Demos) to help with the renovations to sell the inn, but as the two grow closer as they work together on sprucing up the place, Gabriela finds herself hesitant to leave them both behind.
