HOME ALONE - Eight year old Kevin MacAllister (Macaulay Culkin) gets lost in the shuffle as his large, upper-middle class suburban family rushes to make a plane that will ferry them off to their Christmas vacation in France; Kevin, having been banished to an attic room as punishment, is subsequently forgotten. At first this is a dream come true, as for the first time in his young life he has no one to answer to but himself, and he takes full advantage of his newfound freedom, eating junk food and watching late-night horror flicks. But when the bumbling Wet Bandits Harry (Joe Pesci) and Marv (Daniel Stern) target his house for a robbery, Kevin must step up to defend his home; he sets a maze of booby traps so elaborate that only an eight year old imagination could concoct them. Once upon a time, a little network called ABC Family was one of the key small-screen havens for Christmas movies. Every year, the network would premiere a few original movies for the holidays, but when ABC Family became Freeform, the push for Christmas movies slowed down. That leaves us feeling nostalgic for a time when movies like The Mistle-Tones graced our screens. Tia Mowry stars as Holly, who’s looking forward to auditioning for a spot in her Utah town’s Christmas pop singing group called Snow Belles. Even though her mother formed the group, Holly’s none too pleased when the new leader, Marci (Tori Spelling), denies her voice a space in the group,

In response to Marci’s rejection, Holly decides to form her own group called The Mistle-Tones, and they quickly become the rivals of the Snow Belles. The Mistle-Tones follows the newfound group’s journey toward success and competition with their fierce competitors, all while telling the requisite tales of love and forgiveness. The film was a success for ABC Family, ranking as the No. 1 title in multiple demographics during its premiere and coming in as the third most-watched movie in the network’s 25 Days of Christmas lineup. Hit the high notes with the Snow Belles and The Mistle-Tones in Utah… or on Disney+.
