Best Christmas movies set in each state

HOME ALONE - Eight year old Kevin MacAllister (Macaulay Culkin) gets lost in the shuffle as his large, upper-middle class suburban family rushes to make a plane that will ferry them off to their Christmas vacation in France; Kevin, having been banished to an attic room as punishment, is subsequently forgotten. At first this is a dream come true, as for the first time in his young life he has no one to answer to but himself, and he takes full advantage of his newfound freedom, eating junk food and watching late-night horror flicks. But when the bumbling Wet Bandits Harry (Joe Pesci) and Marv (Daniel Stern) target his house for a robbery, Kevin must step up to defend his home; he sets a maze of booby traps so elaborate that only an eight year old imagination could concoct them. New Mexico: The Christmas Yule Blog

Release Year: 2020

Directed By: Heather Hawthorn Doyle

Starring: Sara Canning, Zak Santiago, Andrea Agur, Allison Araya, Dean Paul Gibson, Destee Klyne, Dominic Mariche, Carolyn Tinglin, Francisco Trujillo

With each passing year, television Christmas titles just keep getting better and better. Puns and wordplay are all part of the holiday movie charm, and one of the latest Lifetime movies takes the cake. The Christmas Yule Blog stars Sara Canning as Caroline Williams, a travel writer for social media who finds herself in Carte De Armor, New Mexico on assignment. While in New Mexico, Caroline meets high school music teacher Oscar Ortiz (Zak Santiago) and her perspective on Christmas completely shifts. Suddenly, she has something new to write about in her yule blog.

In the same vein as many Christmas movies, The Christmas Yule Blog centers on someone with dim view of Christmas that lights up with the help of a spirited parade and a new romance. The film is just one of many new holiday romance movies coming to Lifetime this season, which combined with the new crop of Hallmark Christmas movies and a handful of Netflix originals, presents a “the more the merrier” kind of situation — quite literally. For a rare holiday movie getaway to New Mexico, make sure to check out The Christmas Yule Blog on Lifetime.
