Best Netflix shows of 2020: 20. Locke and Key

Locke and Key is based on the graphic novel series of the same name by Joe Hill and Gabriel Ba. The series follows the Locke family. After their father is murdered in Seattle, the family of four moves back to Keyhouse, their father’s childhood home on the East Coast.

There, the Locke kids begin finding magical keys, but it’s not all fun and games. Someone else knows about the keys and wants them.

Darby Stanchfield, Connor Jessup, Emilia Jones, Jackson Robert Scott, Petrice Jones, Laysla De Oliveira, Griffin Gluck, and Colby Bird star in the Netflix series.

Locke and Key is also coming back for season 2! We don’t know when exactly to expect the new season, but we’ll let you know when we find out.

Production on Locke and Key season 2 resumed in September 2020. We’re hoping that means that Locke and Key season 2 will be released on Netflix in 2021. We don’t think it will be in February 2021 as we were originally hoping, but it’s likely that we could see the new season in the fall of 2021. It should take about a year from the start of production until the new season is released on the streaming service.
