2. Let It Snow

Like Dash & Lily, the ensemble cast of Let It Snow are knee-deep in an adaptation of a popular YA novel set during winter break. But instead of running the streets of New York, these teens are navigating trials of love and friendship in Laurel, Illinois.

Julie is showing pop star Stuart around town. Dorrie’s a waitress wishing her love with a cheerleader weren’t so secret. Tobin’s in love with his best friend Duke, but she’s interested in JP who’s in college. And Keon wants to throw a party none of them will ever forget.

Be ready for shenanigans, heartbreak, and the potential for love as these teens make the most of Christmas Eve together come what may.

3. How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)

Indulge us in the nostalgic weirdness of How the Grinch Stole Christmas as a pick on our teen list. Jim Carrey’s memorable turn as the green Scrooge of the Dr. Seuss universe is a must-watch for the season. It’s up there with Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and A Charlie Brown Christmas.

Before the purists get on our case, you’re welcome to watch the original animated version of this story, but it’s not on Netflix and no one said it isn’t a must-watch, too.

In any case, to refresh your memory, in the wonderfully holiday-bedecked town of Whoville, Christmas is the height of the season. From gift-giving to the spread of holiday cheer, the Whos love having a holly jolly time.

The Grinch, however, despises them and their spirited celebrations. So much so that he’s willing to wreck the whole holiday after they once again shame and humiliate him for not being like them. Well, all of them except Cindy Lou Who, a little girl that may just teach her town and the Grinch what Christmas is really about.
