Kids Christmas movies: 4. How the Grinch Stole Christmas

It’s been 20 years since How the Grinch Stole Christmas was released in theaters, and I honestly, can’t even believe that. I think it’s because I watch this movie every Christmas. It still feels sort of new.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas is based on the book, Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas. The movie was directed by Ron Howard. It stars Jim Carrey as the Grinch, the green monster of Whoville who hates Christmas. The Grinch sneaks into town and steals all the presents on Christmas.

Taylor Momsen, Jeffrey Tambor, Christine Baranski, Bill Irwin, and Molly Shannon star in the movie. The story is narrated by Anthony Hopkins.

I’m a fan of the original Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and I make sure to watch that every year. Unfortunately, it’s not on Netflix. But, you get two versions of The Grinch on Netflix. That’s better than none!
