Kids Christmas movies: 5. The Grinch

You have a few options if you want to watch a story about The Grinch on Netflix. We’ll get the list started with this one, The Grinch, which is an animated comedy from Illumination and Universal.

The Grinch premiered in theaters in 2018, and it was a big success for in the box office. The movie grossed more than $500 million. That’s a solid grab for this movie.

Of course, it’s based on Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas, but it differs from the original story and the movie from 2000, How the Grinch Stole Christmas starring Jim Carrey. You all know the story by now, and it’s pretty similar, but there are some main differences, which you can find out when you watch. No spoilers from me!

The Grinch has a great voice cast, including Benedict Cumberbatch, Rashida Jones, Kenan Thompson, Cameron Seely, Angela Lansbury, and Pharrell Williams. Lucifer star Scarlett Estevez even has a role in The Grinch.

The movie was directed by Scott Mosier and Yarrow Cheney.

If you haven’t seen this movie, and you probably haven’t because it’s fairly new, you should check it out on Netflix this Christmas.
