The movie premiered in theaters in 2018 during the holidays. The film is based on The Nutcracker and the Mouse King by ETA Hoffman. It also draws inspiration from The Nutcracker ballet. This movie is basically Alice in Wonderland goes to Christmas, though. It’s absolutely wild!

The movie stars Keira Knightley, Mackenzie Foy, Eugenio Derbez, Matthew Macfadyen, Richard E. Grant, Misty Copeland, Helen Mirren, and Morgan Freeman.

Nutcracker and the Four Realms tells the story of Clara, played by Mackenzie Foy, as she is transported for a mysterious land and must find a key that will bring balance to the Four Realms.
