Have you started Dash and Lily on Netflix yet? If not, what are you waiting for? The sweet Netflix original series follows the titular characters as they play a game through a notebook across New York City, without actually knowing who the other person is.

Soon enough, of course, the two develop feelings for one another and decide they should probably meet. However, things aren’t as simple when they’re not just playing a game anymore. The show stars Austin Abrams and Midori Francis as Dash and Lily, respectively.

I would definitely recommend this show if you’re looking for something cute to get you into the holiday spirit (December is creeping up on us quickly!), or if you just want to watch something light to brighten your mood.

If you end up watching the show and you fall in love with the storyline and the characters, I don’t blame you. While Dash and Lily has not yet been renewed for a second season, the show is based on a series of books by David Levithan and Rachel Cohn. The second book in the series, which is not covered in the Netflix show, is called The Twelve Days of Dash & Lily. It was released in 2016. Presumably, a second season of the show would use this book as the source material.

The third and final book (as of now) in the Dash & Lily series is titled Mind the Gap, Dash and Lily. The book was released just this year on October 20, so it’s still a hot new release! If the Netflix show is lucky enough to run for a third season, this book will likely be its inspiration.
