Best Christmas movies on Netflix: Let It Snow

Yes! It’s another adaptation of a popular YA novel. This time, Netflix has spun teen romance goodness with a film adaptation of Let It Snow by Maureen Johnson, John Green, and Lauren Myracle.

It’s Christmas Eve in Laurel, Illinois and eight teens are about to have a holiday they won’t forget. Julie Reyes’ (Isabela Moner) concerns about college get put on hold when she stumbles across pop star Stuart Bale (Shameik Moore). He’s stranded in town thanks to a train delay which leaves her plenty of time to show him around and perhaps fall in love?

Romance is definitely on the menu for young Dorrie (Liv Hewson), a waitress at Waffle Town whose paramour is a cheerleader though no one knows it but the two of them. Poor Tobin (Mitchell Hope) knows a little something about secrets, too. He’s in love with his best friend Duke (Kiernan Shipka), but she’s got her eye on a college guy named JP Lapierre (Matthew Noszka).

One of the only people to not have his thoughts on love and loss is Keon (Jacon Batalon), Dorrie’s fellow waiter at Waffle Town who just wants to throw a rager in the middle of a snowstorm. Love is great, and he’s happy for everyone, but legendary parties are forever.

Check out Let It Snow, if you’re looking to watch a group of teens get up to no good, find love, lose it, and be true to who they are.
