Finally, we end our pick list with the Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks classic, Sleepless in Seattle.

Feeling nostalgic? Picture this. It’s Christmas Eve in the early ’90s and a young boy has called a radio call-in show in the hopes of finding his father a partner. In the process his dad, an unsuspecting man by the name of Sam Baldwin (Tom Hanks), gets pulled into a conversation about his late wife and is dubbed Sleepless in Seattle.

Subsequently, women across America are vying for a chance with Sam which is something he is not at all prepared to deal with. As such his son, Jonah (Ross Malinger), takes it upon himself to start reading the fan mail that’s made its way to their home. The kid has yet to give up on his mission to ensure his dad’s happiness.

On the other side of the country, Baltimore Sun reporter Annie Reed (Meg Ryan) has developed a crush on Sam despite never having met him and being engaged to someone else. After fretting over whether or not it’s ridiculous to even get in contact with Sam, Annie takes the dive and writes him.

Now the ball is in his court. Will Sam listen to his son and take the plunge, too? Since this is a romcom we’re thinking you should know the answer to that. Buckle in, it’s going to be a cheesy ride!
