Best Christmas movies on Netflix: Christmas Inheritance
Would it really be the holiday season without suggesting a film where a city slick heiress is forced to run an errand in a small town that takes her on an unexpected holiday adventure before she can claim the family business? You’re right! It wouldn’t be. That’s why Christmas Inheritance is on this list.
Eliza Taylor trades in her glock and post-apocalyptic gear for a wardrobe befitting a socialite in her turn as Ellen Langford, the heir apparent to a gift business. Concerned that Ellen’s outlook on life will reflect poorly on the business he built, her father sends her to Snow Falls to deliver Christmas letters to her Uncle Zeke (Anthony Sherwood).
Unfortunately, Zeke is not in town which means Ellen has to stick around until he gets back. Then a snowstorm hits Snow Falls prolonging her stay, but Ellen is starting not to mind being stuck in town. She likes the generosity the people of Snow Falls bestow on each other. Theirs is a community she never had growing up, and she finds herself giving on her own with a glad heart.
But Ellen hasn’t been is honest. The people of the town don’t know she’s Zeke’s niece and heiress to the Langford family business especially not Jake Collins (Jake Lacy) who runs the inn and has been so kind to her. Cue the arrival of Gray Pittman (Michael Xavier), Ellen’s fiancé, whose presence may shatter the peace she’s found in Snow Falls with the inevitable reveal of her identity.
