Best Christmas movies on Netflix: The Christmas Chronicles 2

If you liked The Christmas Chronicles, then you’ll be as pleased as punch to know that the movie has a sequel. This time around, Kate (Darby Camp) is the one not feeling the holidays. Her mom is in a new relationship and that’s not something she feels like celebrating any time soon.

When Kate runs away, she, along with Jack (Jahzir Bruno)–the son of her mother’s boyfriend, get thrown into a portal that transports them to Santa’s Village. It’s an unexpected reunion for the gift-giving man in red and Kate, but she’s certainly not complaining especially because she gets to spend time with Mrs. Claus (Goldie Hawn).

There is, however, one person trying to wreck the good time Kate and Jack are having in the village. Belsnickel (Julian Dennison). He doesn’t want anyone to enjoy the holiday season and will stop at nothing to ruin it, including stealing the star from the top of the Christmas tree in the village.

Without that star, all the work the Clauses and the elves have been doing to put Christmas together will not only go to waste, but also the whole village will go dark, and with it, goes Christmas. But just like the last movie, Kate refuses to let that happen and with everyone’s help plans to save the holiday once again.

The Christmas Chronicles 2 will be available on November 25.
