Best Christmas movies on Netflix: A Christmas Prince
Christmas is right around the corner and journalist Amber Moore (Rose McIver) is hoping that if there’s anything she’ll receive this year it’ll be her big break. She’s yet to cut her teeth on anything that’s made a splash but when she’s assigned to cover a press conference in Aldovia, a nation whose prince is rumored to abdicate the throne, she thinks that this may be her opportunity.
Too bad Prince Richard (Ben Lamb) neglects to show up to his own press conference which ruins Amber’s chances at a scoop. Or so she thinks until she’s mistakenly assumed to be Martha Anderson, Princess Emily’s new American tutor. Now closer to the throne than she ever thought possible, Amber has the chance to write the piece of the year.
Everyone thinks Prince Richard is an irresponsible playboy, but Emily knows him differently and Amber is beginning to as well. In fact, the man she starts to see in Richard is kindhearted and compassionate. He’s also someone she’s falling for which is a problem because she hasn’t been honest with him.
Things take a turn for the worst when Amber stumbles across a well-hidden secret. It’s the scoop she was looking for but now that she’s come to care for this reluctant soon-to-be king, she doesn’t want to hurt him or his family. Other people, however, have no such qualms and may use the information against him despite Amber’s efforts to keep the secret under wraps.
