Best Christmas movies on Netflix: A Cinderella Story: Christmas Wish

My how time has flown since Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray kicked off the A Cinderella Story franchise. We are now on the fifth installment and this one is Christmas themed!

Kat Decker (Laura Marano) dreams of being recognized for her songwriting talent but for now, she’s subject to the whims of her stepmother and stepsisters who care not a jot about Kat’s well-being. All they want from her is a cut of her wages from work and for her to do whatever they tell her to do.

While Kat’s living conditions are terrible, her work life as an elf at Santa Land is good. She gets to work with her best friend Isla (Isabella Gomez), and she thinks she’s hitting it off pretty well with the new hire Nick (Gregg Sulkin). But what Kat doesn’t know is that Nick isn’t a regular employee. His full name is Dominic Wintergarden, and he’s the son of the park’s owner.

Things come to a head when Kat is invited to the Wintergarden charity event, one of the most prestigious holiday gatherings of the season. But, of course, this wouldn’t be a Cinderella tale without serious interference from Kat’s evil family members. Kat is going to have to fight with everything she has to make it to that event and step into the spotlight.
