Rashon “Rush” William’s (Romany Malco) life is as perfect as it can be despite the loss of his late wife. He’s got four beautiful children and his morning radio show is a smash hit. There’s nothing that could dim his shine short of an unexpected cancellation by his radio station. That one he didn’t see coming and neither did his producer Roxy Richardson (Sonequa Martin-Green).

Now that he isn’t drawing in the money he used to, Rush has to get his children used to a lifestyle that doesn’t include a host of things whenever they want it. The change also means a smaller house, but Rush intends on making this situation work for his family. He’s also not going to give up on his dreams and neither is Roxy.

The duo go all-in on a radio station of their own. It’s a scary venture, one with a whole lot of risks, but nothing ventured nothing gained. In the process, Rush may just find love again and closer than he thinks. Roxy and Rush have worked together for years but their friendship and business partnership could cross over the line of romance if they’re both willing to take a risk on each other.
