Best Christmas movies on Netflix: This Christmas

Next up, a modern Christmas classic. Now if you haven’t watched This Christmas, you need to get in on the delight that is this movie.

It’s the holidays which means the Whitfields are gathered at Ma’Dere’s for the season including Quentin (Idris Elba) who’s spent most of his time out on the road as a musician. But while this family is happy to be together, they aren’t so happy about the goings on in each other’s lives.

Lisa (Regina King) and Kelli (Sharon Leal) are always butting heads over the different paths they took in life. Kelli has a successful career, but she’s lonely, and Lisa runs the family business but her husband may not be as committed to her as she is to him.

Melanie (Lauren London) has brought home yet another boyfriend. Claude (Columbus Short) is visiting but not under the circumstances his family thinks he is. Quentin refuses to accept his mother’s friend, Joe Black (Delroy Lindo). And all Michael (Chris Brown) wants is to enjoy the gifts being showered on him by the girls he’s seeing and for everyone to get along for the holidays.

The Whitfields have always come together for good and for bad and this holiday will be no different, but there’s certain to be some bumps along the way.
