Netflix adds 55 new movies and shows this week

November is finally here and that means plenty of new movies and shows are being added to Netflix. Whether you’re looking to binge-watch a 90s-00s series you used to watch back in the day, a comedy sketch show, or a rom-com, there is something for everyone this week on the streaming service.

Ready to step into the not-so-distant past? Well, all six seasons of Dawson’s Creek are coming to Netflix on Sunday, Nov. 1. The show follows four friends, Dawson, Pacey, Joey, and Jen, who deal with life and love growing up in a small coastal town. It stars James Van Der Beek, Katie Holmes, Michelle Williams, and Joshua Jackson, and it originally aired from 1998 to 2003.

Everything will be the same except for the theme song. It won’t be part of the show due to a rights issue.

More in the mood for a laugh? All three seasons of Chapelle’s Show is also coming to Netflix on Sunday, Nov. 1. The show aired from 2003 to 2006 and starred (as you can probably tell from the title) comedian Dave Chappelle as he performed comedy sketches that parodied different aspects of race and culture. If you didn’t see it at the time, you’re probably one of a few as it was one of the most popular shows during that time.

Looking for a good rom-com to cheer you up after a hard day? Easy A, starring Emma Stone, Penn Badgley, Amanda Bynes, Aly Michalka, Stanley Tucci, and Patricia Clarkson, hits Netflix on Sunday, Nov. 1. The movie follows Olive (played by Emma Stone) as she deals with the rumor mill at her high school after she lies to her friend about having sex.

At first, she likes the attention, but once she pretends to sleep with her friend to help him with bullies, the attention turns sinister and she has to figure out how to get out of the black hole of her own making.

This week also brings Casper starring Bill Pullman and Christina Ricci and the 2001 version of Ocean’s Eleven on Sunday, Nov. 1. Prospect starring Pedro Pascal is coming to Netflix on Monday, Nov. 2 as well.
