If you subscribe to Netflix, then chances are that you’re frequently plagued with the unfinished shows left in your “Continue Watching” section.

Whether you don’t have the time or you simply didn’t enjoy it, sometimes these pesky titles linger on your screen for a while, even if you haven’t watched them recently. Or perhaps you told your partner that you’d wait to watch the next episode of your favorite show with them but you just couldn’t stop yourself from pressing play and now you’re trying to cover your tracks.

Whatever the reason, don’t stress! There is a very simple solution that will allow you to erase shows and movies from your Continue Watching list.

How to get rid of your Continue Watching on Netflix

If you’re looking to remove shows from your Continue Watching tab on Netflix, then you’ve come to the right place. I have included all of the steps necessary to remedy this issue.

Step #1:

Go to your preferred internet browser and log into your Netflix account.

Step #2:

Access your account page by clicking on the icon in the top right corner of the screen. A drop-down list of options will appear and you can select “Account” from there.

Step #3:

In the “My Profile” section, click on “Viewing Activity.” From there, you will be able to see a list of all the shows and movies you’ve been watching, complete with the exact episode and other information.

Step #4:

Go to whatever show or movie you would like removed from your Continue Watching list. Click on the “X” on the right-hand side of the screen next to the selected title. After that’s done, the show will disappear from the section.

It might take upwards of 24 hours, but these steps are a sure-fire way to clear out your viewing history!

In case you’re a visual learner, I have included a funny video produced by Netflix that provides a step-by-step guide on how to remove titles from your viewing history. You can check it out below.
