One thing we weren’t 100% sure about was whether American Horror Story season 9 would come to Netflix. The good news is that it is, and we’re only waiting until November 2020.

American Horror Story: 1984 will be on Netflix on Friday, Nov. 13, 2020. All nine episodes of the season will be available at once. What’s On Netflix shared the great news.

Okay, so it’s not in time for Halloween. That’s the disappointing thing about American Horror Story 1984 heading to Netflix. Previous seasons have joined the streamer toward the end of September/start of October, giving us something creepy to watch during the scariest month of the year.

That release date is also usually timed with the premiere date of new seasons on FX. Since the 10th season hasn’t premiered yet (it’s not even filmed, yet), it’s not surprising that the release date on Netflix has changed.

There was a point where we worried the ninth season of the horror anthology series wouldn’t make it to Netflix. FX on Hulu brought the debate that FX would move all content to that streaming service.

Sure enough, a lot of content has moved. And American Horror Story: Apocalypse isn’t available on Netflix anymore. It’s understandable why many worried about not being able to binge-watch the entire ninth season on the streamer.

What is AHS: 1984 about?

American Horror Story season 9 takes us to 1984. It pays homage to the horror movies of the past, mostly Friday the 13th. A group of teens become counselors at Camp Redwood, a place that had been shut for years after a murder spree.

That murderer is out. Now it’s time for everyone to figure out a way to remain one step ahead of the serial killer. If they die, they’re stuck on the grounds forever. All they wanted was a summer of fun.
