Netflix is adding over 25 new movies and shows this week

Netflix adds 28 new movies and shows this week

A new week has arrived and that means a ton of new content is coming to Netflix! Whether you’re looking for a family-friendly fantasy movie to watch, a political drama, or a documentary about one of your favorite bands, Netflix has something for everybody’s mood.

Netflix is becoming known for its movie adaptations of popular books series and they don’t seem to be stopping anytime soon. On Thursday, Oct. 15, A Babysitter’s Guide to Monster Hunting is hitting the streaming service.

The movie is based on the book series of the same name and stars Tom Felton, Oona Laurence, Indya Moore, and Momona Tamada. The story follows one babysitter as she tries to save kids who have been abducted by monsters.

Looking for something a little darker and based on real-life events? You might want to check out The Trial of the Chicago 7 when it hits Netflix on Friday, Oct. 16. The movie follows the trial of seven people who were charged with various crimes due to the uprising at the 1968 National Democratic Convention in Chicago.

The charges included conspiracy and inciting a riot and were all related to an Anti-Vietnam War protest.

The film stars Sacha Baron Cohen, Alex Sharp, Eddie Redmayne, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jeremy Strong, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Mark Rylance. The movie was written and directed by Aaron Sorkin.
