Halloween movies and shows: 4. Unsolved Mysteries: Volume 2

You may be too young to remember the original series Unsolved Mysteries, and if that’s the case, I recommend you giving it a watch. For an idea of what it’s all about, check out Unsolved Mysteries on Netflix.

Unsolved Mysteries follows the stories of people who survived or have lived through a traumatizing experience. These events include everything from a mysterious disappearance to an inexplicable occurrence.

All of these cases have yet to be solved (hence the series title) and they hope the public can help solve them. And some of them have already received multiple leads.

The trailer above is for Volume 1, which is already streaming on Netflix. But for Volume 2you’ll need to wait until Oct. 19, 2020. It’s a  good thing we are offering you plenty to watch this Halloween season to keep you busy (and scared) until then!

Halloween movies and shows: 3. The Platform

If you have a strong stomach, you may be able to handle Netflix’s The Platform, but you’ll still be in for quite a gruesome surprise. This movie is as bloody and violent as it gets!

The Spanish movie follows Goreng (Ivan Massague), a man who enters a vertical prison voluntarily in order to study it. The prison is build of cement cell blocks lined up one on top of the other, with a hole in the middle where a platform ascends once daily carrying food for the prisoners.

The catch is, it travels one platform at a time, and there is no consideration for the lower levels. The prisoners on the higher levels finish most of it by the time it reaches the middle, leaving nothing but broken glass for the lower levels.
